In my family there is one story about my childhood that stands out. The story my mom tells everyone. How she accidentally left me at the library. About how Matt was setting off the alarms and getting gum out of the trash . She told me to go sit and read my books until everyone was done checking out. I did. But then suddenly things got quiet. Too quiet. And I started to panic. I checked out every window looking for our big baby blue econoline van.It wasn't there. Meanwhile, in the car, driving across town, my mom asked where I was and when the kids all told her I wasn't there she thought I was hiding in the very back of the van. (A trick we played on her alot). Long story short. My mom rushed back to the library ,but the librarians had already called the police. I was about four I think, but after that incident I held on to my moms braid everywhere she went. Baden thinks that I should have developed an aversion to libraries because of this experience(he hates when I check out books because I read them instead of following him around the house:)I guess you can say I caught the Reading Bug.They are a GREAT source for learning. FREE learning. A place where you can go and learn about anything you wish.
This summer we did the reading program at the library. The boys got books to keep track of how many hours I read to them. For every ten hours they read they got a prize. We only made it half way before the cut off date, but the boys were satisfied with bug stickers, a bug jar with magnifying glass and a certificate for a free lunch at Taco Bell. The boys love to go to the library and get movies and books, to look at the display of trains and go to Story Time. Looks like they got the Reading Bug too:)

Parker for the first time in his life didn't want his picture taken.

Oh, how cute! I can imagine you holding on to your mom's braid like horse rangs! So cute! That's crazy Parker didn't want his picture taken! He must have REALLY caught the bug :) Wyatt is so dang cute! Miss you guys!
Those are some cute pictures! You should tell Parker that we would rather see is cute smile than Winnie the Pooh's butt. So have you read anything good lately you want to share? It is a good thing for your kids you aren't scared of libraries.
Hey! Maybe when you move here...:) we can take "field trips" to the library with the boys! I've got the bug too!
