Las Vegas

In late April Baden and I headed down to Las Vegas for a seminar with Amway. Mom and Dad Neilson watched the boys for us and we headed down to Linsy and Jamies' place. We had a couple of days to burn because of flight scheduling so it was kind of a mini-vacation.

Linsy and Jamie took us to the Cheesecake Factory for the first time and we were hooked!
I mean check out those lettuce wraps!

They also took up shopping at one of their favorite stores and it instantly became a favorite of mine too. (Nordstrom Rack) And we went hot-tubbing every chance we got.

We went to the Las Vegas Temple. Also a first for us. It really is
a beautiful temple.

We finally made it to the Strip for our seminar at the Orleans Arena. On our way we stopped by the M&M store . Here is Baden posing with the M&M race car. OUCH!

Linsy and Jamie live in this awesome part of Las Vegas called Summerlin. Most of it is really lush and you almost forget you are in the middle of a desert. They have a trail by their house, however, that is a nice walk through a desert landscape. It really reminded me of when I was little living in the California desert. Such fun and very cool to see cacti in bloom!
