I was inspired to do this post by my SIL Amy. When we do preschool we go over the calendar, phone number, adress, alphabet etc. We have a time where we do songs and rhymes to let them move around. Its not as organized as I would like but it works for now.
I was having trouble with the boys and timeouts were not working. It came down to a wrestleing match in most cases. I remembered a SuperNanny episode I saw years ago and thought I would give it a try. I made a responsibility chart for each of the boys and when they complete each task they get a star. For every star they get to put a cookie in the jar. So when they are naughty(won't go to time out when they are told) they get a cookie taken away, but they can also earn cookies for good behavior etc. So far it has worked awesome. When they consistantly keep cookies in the jar then they get time to play game cube or go to scouts with Baden etc. They have fun with the cookies too. Everytime they get to put one in the jar they have to pretend to eat it first.
Home made felt sugar cookies:)

That's so great that the cookie jar idea is WORKING. That always helps:) Also, it's good you reward them to do things with daddy. I'm doing something similar to let them do things with Marc. They love that when they behave good, their reward is doing fun things with dad:)
